In the summer of 2023 Rebel Pictures held a special workshop-event where four film photographers, on four diffrent analog film cameras captured a single piece of dance choreography. A journey through style and format, shot on 8mm,16mm, 35mm and 65mm film.

The current film in production from Jesper Tønnes and Rebel Pictures is the danish crime adventure: INTET VOVER. The film follows a red suitcase through three acts. Each act is shot on a diffrent analog film format. A exiting, dangerous, and funny journey into to criminal underbelly of Copenhagen.

THE LAST PADAWAN II

SYNOPSIS: After the destruction of the Jedi Order a lost Jedi Padawan travels the galaxy protecting the future of the Jedi order. Hunted by the evil Empire, and the sinister Inquisitors, the Padawan is now trapped on the planet Dantooin. Only with the help of local rebels will he have a chance of escape, but can the desperate Rebels actully be trusted?
A 50 minuts action-adventure, STAR WARS film. Written, produced, directed, edited, starring and visual effects supervised by Jesper Tønnes. The film took 3 years to make, and set a new benchmark, not just for Jesper Tønnes’s abilities, but for Indie-sci-fi-movies in general. Read more about the entire project here: HERE
ORANGE FEELING
Short film - Comedy/Drama - 19 Minuts - Released in 2021
SYNOPSIS: A quiet young man named Carl just got dumped by his girlfriend. In an act of kindness his old friend Max takes him along for an adventure at the yearly Roskilde Festival. With love, music, and a rock n’ roll mentality all around, Carl is thrown into a new experience full of joy and potentials dangers. Especially when his ex-girlfriend shows up, and Max have to decide if he’s ready to change or want to go back to his normal life.
The short film is written, directed and produced by Jesper Tønnes, and was shot on location, at The Roskilde Festival. This very intimate story was made as a tribute to Dogme95 and the spirit of THE ROSKILDE FESTIVAL. The movie has a very rock n’ roll ecstatic mixed up with epic cinematic and musical moments, that’s show you just how magical and dramatic a music-festival experience can be.
